DAY SEVENTEEN

Psalm 85:10-13

“Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.”

These verses are not only about God’s children, but about the Lord as well. We’ve seen many times throughout scripture God’s promise to show us grace, mercy, and agape for eternity; this excerpt from Psalms is exactly that. It is a moment of change on both of our parts.

We are all born as sinners, and will continue to sin throughout our lives, whether we mean to or not. We are constantly changing, whether it’s how we look, the way we think, etc., but God also goes along with us on that journey. It was once seen that those in the LGBTQ+ community were a damned people, but now we see that, no matter who you are, who you love, or how you may identify, we are all God’s children and you are met with the love and grace of the Lord.

You cannot have righteousness without truth, nor peace without mercy. When truth is combined with mercy, you receive grace. And for righteousness and peace; love. These things are promised to us by God and are important for us to have in order to make the change we wish to see in our world. If we do not take action, and show these beliefs to our neighbors, we will never achieve the way of living God hopes for us. Keep faith and love one another.
