AN OLD SOUL WITH A PROGRESSIVE HEART
Like any gathering place, a church has a personality. Our historic building and beautiful sanctuary embody the spirit of tradition, yet our Sunday morning services are frequently punctuated by laughter.
How can a church be both compelling and comfortable? A lot has to do with our people in the pews, who are diverse in culture, opinions, and stage of life (physical and spiritual). In addition, our choirs and musicians glorify God with an amazing array of talent and inspired celebration. We also cherish our ministers – a collection of highly educated and personable pastors.
Diversity, inclusion, and mission are the heartbeat of our church family. We reach out and embrace everyone regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or sexual orientation. MSPC also witnesses to God’s love as we stand with the marginalized and advocate for social justice.
A PLACE TO BELONG
At MSPC, you’re sure to find someone like you: college students, singles, boomers, retirees, and children and families of all descriptions. You can also find space here to recharge, linger in the depth of message and music, and connect with others who readily accept you and rejoice in varied opportunities to be the church together.
WAYS TO LEARN MORE
Please visit www.maxpres.org for details about our ministries for all ages and interests. If you have questions, a pastor or a member of the Welcome Team awaits in the Johnston Parlor at the rear of the sanctuary every Sunday after worship. Our pastor is also happy to talk with you privately at your convenience; simply call the church office at (859) 255-1074 between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
A CHURCH HOME
Deciding on the “right” church for you is a significant and personal process. Visiting, however, requires no commitment. Even as members, people get as involved here as they wish and at their own pace.
