For you, O God, have been a refuge to the poor, a refuge to the needy in their distress, a shelter from the rainstorm and a shade from the heat.

– Isaiah 25.4

We have amazing news to share with you: A generous donor has made an anonymous gift of $15,000 to MSPC so that we can provide rental assistance to those who have been physically or economically impacted by the corona virus. As if that is not wonderful enough, we have an opportunity to grow this gift. The donor is willing to match donations made to Maxwell Street in excess of $15,000 up to an additional $10,000 given for the designated purpose of providing rental assistance.

This means that with your help, we could raise $50,000 or more to help keep people in our community safe and warm in their own homes in the midst of the pandemic and the upcoming winter months. All gifts will be used for housing assistance.

There are no restrictions on giving. No amount is too small, or too big. And, there are no age limits. Best part of all, no mask required. You can give from the comfort of your home, for the comfort of someone else’s!

You have an opportunity to give a gift to your neighbors this Christmas: a Home for the Holidays. Please consider making a gift to ‘Home for the Holidays’ by sending a check, or contacting Michelle Gardner: michelle@maxpres.org.
