Do you have a family immigration story to tell?
If you have ancestors who immigrated to the United States – especially, parents or grandparents – would you be willing to share their story? It doesn’t need to be long – or complicated. How are they kin to you? Who were they? Where did they come from? When? Why? What type of work did they do? Where did they settle? What happened to them?
From mid-August – October, your Social Justice Committee will focus on Immigration. We’d like to share these stories plus the stories of immigrants among us. We’d like to provide information and answer questions during this time. It’s harder to have discussions under current restrictions, but we’d like to try – using our savvy technological support.
Please send you stories, questions or suggestions to Marilyn Daniel at firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline for your stories: MONDAY, AUGUST 17. Thank you.
