August Random Act of Kindness
SNEAKERS FOR DAWSON SPRINGS
After our mission trip to Dawson Springs to assist with December’s major tornado damage, we asked the Long Range Planning Committee of Hopkins county, how we could continue to help from Central KY. The committee suggested new tennis shoes for school children (elementary through high school). We plan to gather new tennis shoes in the original boxes during the month of August. The school resource office will be distributing to all children in the county (but especially Dawson Springs). We are not looking for top of the line tennis shoes, but rather moderately, priced tennis shoes. Some of us may decide to donate multiple pairs.
Shoes in original boxes may be left in the front church office. These should be NEW athletic shoes for children sizes 5 through 12
Let’s make our MSPC goal 150 pairs of new tennis shoes! MSPC will be collecting tennis shoes along with Mt Horeb Presbyterian and 2nd Presbyterian Church (our previous mission partners) who will have their own goals.
The tennis shoes will be delivered to the Family Resource Center in Hopkins County on the day after Labor Day. Maxwell Street knows how to live Mission OUT LOUD!! Let’s make our goal and beyond with God’s help. Thank you.
